The median price of a single-family property in Bedford, Massachusetts increased 50.5 percent in April compared to April 2014; however, through April the median price increased just 0.2 percent compared to the first four months of 2014, according to data collected by the Massachusetts Association of Realtors.

Inventory.
It's the word being thrown around quite a bit whenever anyone in the Boston area is talking about or writing about the real estate market. It's usually coupled with words like "tight," "scarce" and "low." It's the reason for the many multiple-offer situations and rising home prices over the last two years.

Massachusetts homes sold in March likely would have been put under agreement in late January and throughout February. Despite the epic streak of snowstorms that started at the end of January, home buyers pushed home sales up in March compared to March 2014.
