The median price of a single-family home in New Hampshire increased nearly as much in 2013 as the median price increased in Massachusetts.
Single-family home prices increased 9.1 percent in 2013 in New Hampshire, nearly as much as the 10.3 percent median price increase in Massachusetts. The New Hampshire real estate data was compiled by the New Hampshire Association of Realtors.

New Hampshire marked its 20th consecutive month of year-over-year home sale increases in July, The Conway Daily Sun reported August 30, 2013.
New Hampshire homes sales increased 23 percent in July compared to July 2013, and the price of homes in the Granite State increased 11 percent in July compared to the previous year. The New Hampshire Association of Realtors provided the data.

Our neighbors to the north also are experiencing a real estate recovery.
The New Hampshire Association of Realtors said that 1,587 single-family homes sold in June, the most sales since the September 2005 housing peak, the New Hampshire Union Leader reported July 31, 2013.

New Hampshire first-time home buyers looking for an extra tax break will want to investigate the New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority home buyer tax credit program.
Launched in March 2013, NH Housing designed the program to save first-time home buyers in the Granite State up to $2,000 a year on their federal income taxes, making homeownership more affordable for low- to moderate-income home buyers that qualify.
