The median price of a single-family home in New Hampshire increased nearly as much in 2013 as the median price increased in Massachusetts.
Single-family home prices increased 9.1 percent in 2013 in New Hampshire, nearly as much as the 10.3 percent median price increase in Massachusetts. The New Hampshire real estate data was compiled by the New Hampshire Association of Realtors.

New Hampshire marked its 20th consecutive month of year-over-year home sale increases in July, The Conway Daily Sun reported August 30, 2013.
New Hampshire homes sales increased 23 percent in July compared to July 2013, and the price of homes in the Granite State increased 11 percent in July compared to the previous year. The New Hampshire Association of Realtors provided the data.

Our neighbors to the north also are experiencing a real estate recovery.
The New Hampshire Association of Realtors said that 1,587 single-family homes sold in June, the most sales since the September 2005 housing peak, the New Hampshire Union Leader reported July 31, 2013.

New Hampshire first-time home buyers looking for an extra tax break will want to investigate the New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority home buyer tax credit program.
Launched in March 2013, NH Housing designed the program to save first-time home buyers in the Granite State up to $2,000 a year on their federal income taxes, making homeownership more affordable for low- to moderate-income home buyers that qualify.

New Hampshire Home Buyers were out in full force to get the Spring real estate season started, pushing NH home sales and median prices up in April 2013.
The number of residential homes sold in New Hampshire in April was the highest for any April since 2006, climbing more than 9 percent compared to April 2012, the New Hampshire Association of Realtors (NHAR) reported May 16, 2013.

Single-family home prices increased 10.2 percent across the United States on a year-over-year basis in February; however, New Hampshire home prices increased only 2.6 percent in February compared to February 2012, according to data from real estate information company CoreLogic, the New Hampshire Union Leader reported April 14, 2013.

Massachusetts isn't the only state where the real estate market has perked up.
Overall, it doesn't appear the New Hampshire real estate market has turned the corner as fast as the Bay State, but New Hampshire home buyers drove residential home sales up 21.2 percent in January compared to January 2012, the New Hampshire Business Review reported February 21, 2013.
The New Hampshire Association of Realtors provided the data, which also showed that median home prices decreased 2.7 percent despite the jump in sales.
There were 800 residential NH home sales in January, up from 660 sold in January 2012; however, the 800 unit sales were 23 percent lower than the 1,037 units sold in December 2012.
