Inventory.
It's the word being thrown around quite a bit whenever anyone in the Boston area is talking about or writing about the real estate market. It's usually coupled with words like "tight," "scarce" and "low." It's the reason for the many multiple-offer situations and rising home prices over the last two years.

Milton, Massachusetts is a suburb located about 10 miles south of Downtown Boston, with a population of a little more than 27,000, as of the 2010 Census. It is bordered by Boston to the North and West, Quincy, MA and Randolph, MA to the South and Canton, MA to the West. On the East there is water access to Boston Harbor.

The price of a single-family home in Milton, Massachusetts increased 21 percent in March compared to March 2012, the MiltonPatch reported April 23, 2013.
The median price of a single-family home increased 8.37 percent statewide and 5.66 percent in Norfolk County in March 2013 compared to the previous year. The Warren Group, publisher of Banker & Tradesman, provided the data.
