While the median price of a single-family home statewide increased 2.5 percent in 2014, home prices in Lexington, Massachusetts soared more than 20 percent, according to data compiled by the Massachusetts Association of Realtors.

The number of single-family homes on the market in September 2014 in Lexington, Massachusetts increased 3.8 percent to 83 from 80 in September 2013, and new listings increased 15 percent, according the Massachusetts Association of Realtors.
The months of supply in September increased to 2.8 months, an 11 percent increase from 2.5 months in September 2013; however, 2.8 months of inventory is still quite low. New listings increased to 46 from 40 in September 2013.

After increasing 17.1 percent in December 2013 and 8.7 percent for all of 2013, the median price of a single-family home in Lexington, Massachusetts declined 20.3 percent in January 2014, according data compiled by the Massachusetts Association of Realtors (MAR).
There were 13 homes sold in Lexington, MA in January 2014, with a median price of $767.000. In January 2013, there were 14 homes sold, with a median price of $962,500.

The number of single-family homes sold in Lexington, Massachusetts in June 2013 declined 29 percent to 51 sales from 72 homes sold in June 2012, the Lexington Patch reported July 25, 2013, but home prices increased.
Through the first six months of 2013 198 single-family homes sold in Lexington, down from 204 homes sold in the first half of 2012. The Warren Group, publisher of Banker & Tradesman, tracked the data.
