In 2009, the median price of a single family home in Arlington, MA was $487,438. Over a five-year period, the price increased at an average of 3.6 percent per year. In 2013, the median price was $565,000, a cumulative 15.9 percent increase over the five years. Median prices for each year were as follows: 2009: $487,438 2010: $500,000 2011: $517,500 2012: $521,000 2013: $565,000 From 2009 through 2013, the annual number of single-family homes sold in Arlington fluctuated. The least amount of homes sold in a year was 248 in 2009. Sales peaked at 292 homes sold in 2012. The most expensive single family home sold from 2009 through 2013 was in 2012 for $1,950,000. MLSPIN data indicated the median price for a condominium in Arlington fluctuated from 2009 through 2013, but reached its peak in 2010 and 2013 at $375,000. After climbing 10 percent from 2009 through 2010, the median condo price suddenly dropped by 7.4 percent in 2011, bringing the annual median price to $347,000. After the drop, prices steadily increased at an average of 3.9 percent each year. Median prices for each year were as follows: 2009: $340,500 2010: $375,000 2011: $347,000 2012: $361,500 2013: $375,000 The number of condominiums sold in Arlington from 2009 through 2013 ranged between 201 condo sales in 2010 and a peak of 263 condo sales in 2013. The most expensive condo sale sold was in 2013 for $814,000.
