The median price for single-family homes and condominiums in Dartmouth, Massachusetts increased in 2016, according to data released by the Massachusetts Association of Realtors.

Darmouth, Massachusetts real estate market reportIf you are considering purchasing a single-family home or condominium in Dartmouth, here are six statistics that will help you make an informed decision.

1. The median price for a single-family home rose 3.2 percent in 2016 to $325,000 from $315,000 in 2015.

2. There was a total of 322 closed sales in Dartmouth, Massachusetts in 2016. Sales were up 5.9 percent from the previous year's 304 closed house sales.

3. Pending home sales – homes under agreement that have yet to close – increased 6.9 percent to 326 from 305 in 2015.

4. The median sales price for condominiums soared 19.1 percent year-over-year to $452,525 in 2016 from $380,000 in 2015.

5. Closed condominium sales increased 27.3 percent in 2016 to 14 units sold from 11 in 2015.

6. Condominium buyers paid an average of 91.1 percent of the original list price for condo units in 2016, down 2.6 percent from the 93.5 percent homebuyers paid in 2015.
