It's Valentine's Day, and we have seen the slick ads and pushy marketing for poetic greeting cards; delectable chocolates; bright red roses; and cute teddy bears promising true love and happiness.
Apparently real estate agents want in on playing cupid. A recent email received at the office from a real estate agent stated, "This Valentine's Day, let me help you find that sweetheart of a new home you've been thinking about ... I love helping people fall head over heels in love with their new home!"

Buying a home is a big decision. Massachusetts home buyers should treat it as such. Falling in love sounds swell, but home buyer's should beware of runaway emotions. Doing one's due diligence before buying a house isn't sexy, but it will keep you from wanting to divorce your home before next Valentine's Day.
A newer roof, quality heating system and efficient windows are every bit as attractive as a new vanity in the bathroom, stone counter tops and stainless steel appliances. You'd be amazed at what a turn on a carefully wired electrical box can be.
Working with a dedicated buyer agent who will provide competent advice throughout the home-buying process and help you find a solid home that meets most of your wants and needs, within your budget: That's true love.
