Six months supply of inventory is considered by many in the real estate industry as a balanced market between sellers and buyers. There were 236 new listings in West Roxbury in 2015, down from 242 new listings the previous year.
Condominium sales increased 25 percent to 80 units sold in West Roxbury in 2015, and the median condo price increased 18.3 percent to $335,500. Homebuyers paid on average 99.2 percent of the original list price in 2015.
The number of condos on the market at the end of the year did increase significantly from the previous year. Months supply of inventory increased 156 percent from 0.9 to 2.4 months of inventory. New condo listings increased 25.3 percent to 114 in 2015.
