Average U.S. mortgage interest rates increased slightly for the ending April 12, 2018, according to Freddie Mac's weekly Primary Mortgage Market Survey.
The 15-year, fixed-rate mortgage loan averaged 3.87 percent, with an average 0.4 point, the same as the previous week. A year ago the 15-year note averaged 3.34 percent.
The five-year, adjustable-rate mortgage averaged 3.61 percent, with an average 0.3 point, compared to 3.62 percent the previous week and 3.18 percent last year.
