Home sales and median home prices were on the rise during the first half of 2015 in Seekonk, Massachusetts, according to data compiled by the Massachusetts Association of Realtors.
On average home buyers paid 95.1 percent of the original list price during the first six months of 2015. In June home buyers paid 98.2 percent of the original list price.
Home sales in Seekonk increased 15.4 percent to 60 sales from January through June from 52 sales during the same time frame in 2014. Pending sales – homes under agreement that have yet to close – increased 38.3 percent to 83 compared to 60 pending sales through June last year.
In June there were 17 homes sold compared to 15 in June 2014. Pending sales increased from 12 in June 2014 to 19 in June.
Real estate inventory declined in June, but, compared to many other cities and towns, was plentiful. There was 6.5 months supply of inventory in June, down from 9 months supply in June 2014. There were 71 homes available in June compared to 82 in June 2014. New home listings increased 30 percent in June to 26 from 20 new listings in June 2014.
There have not been any condominium sales in Seekonk in 2015.
