Following most municipalities in the Bay State, the price of a single-family home in Marshfield, Massachusetts increased through October 2013, according to The Warren Group, publisher of Banker & Tradesman.
The number of single-family homes sold in Marshfield during the first ten months of 2013 rose 2.48 percent to 248 sales from 242 sales during the same time period in 2012. The month of October saw a 130 percent sales increase, with 23 homes sold compared to 10 sales in October 2012.
From January through October 2013, there were 39 condominiums sales in Marshfield, an increase of 8.33 percent from the 36 condos sold during the same time period in 2012. In October, there were 5 condo sales, up 400 percent from 1 sale in October 2012.
In October 2013, the median price of a condo was $120,000. From January to October 2013, the median condo price dropped 38.21 percent to $228,000 from $369,000 during the same time period in 2012.
The number of single-family homes in Marshfield on the market in October declined 13.2 percent compared to October 2012, the Massachusetts Association of Realtors reported December 30, 2013. Condo inventory plummeted. Condominium inventory declined 45.4 percent in October.
