The price of a single-family home in Milton, Massachusetts increased 21 percent in March compared to March 2012, the MiltonPatch reported April 23, 2013.
During Q1 2013, Milton's median single-family home price was flat at $460,000. In Massachusetts, the median price increased 10.57 percent in the first quarter. Norfolk County saw prices increase 7.69 percent Q1 compared to the same period in 2012.
The increase in Milton, MA home prices is a result of a lack of real estate inventory in Milton and around the Commonwealth of Massachusetts; however, the low inventory depressed sales. Milton, MA home sales declined 44 percent in March (14) compared to March 2013 (25). There were 37 home sales in the first quarter, down 37 percent from 59 home sales.
