Since 2009, the median price of a single-family home in Sharon, Massachusetts has steadily increased, according to data provided by MLS Property Information Network, Inc.

Sharon, MA Median Home Price Up 2009 through 2013In 2009, the median price of a single-family home in Sharon, MA was $377,000. The prices increased at an average of 6.7 percent each year. The biggest annual increase in price was in 2013, when the median price skyrocketed by 17.5 percent. By 2013, the median price was $487,750, a cumulative 29.3 percent increase over the five-year period. Median prices for each year were as follows:

2009: $377,000
2010: $395,000
2011: $400,000
2012: $415,000
2013: $487,750

Since 2009, the annual number of single-family homes sold in Sharon has fluctuated. The least amount of homes sold in a year was 149 in 2010, with sales peaking at 247 homes sold in 2013. The most expensive single family home sold from 2009 through 2013 was a home sold in 2009 for $2,155,000.

According to MLS PIN, the median price for a condominium in Sharon fluctuated from 2009 through 2013, but reached its peak in 2012 at $295,000. In 2011, the annual median price dropped by 23.7 percent, bringing the median price to $191,500. After this drop, the median price skyrocketed by 54 percent in 2012, only to plummet again in 2013, this time by 54.9 percent. Median condo prices for each year were as follows:

2009: $247,500
2010: $251,000
2011: $191,500
2012: $295,000
2013: $133,000

The number of condominiums sold in Sharon, MA from 2009 through 2013 remained almost the same. Over the five-year period, the lowest number of sales was 16 in 2011, and at its peak in 2013, there were 20 condo sales. The most expensive condo sold was in 2009 for $496,500.
