The median sales price for both single-family homes and condominiums in Haverhill, Massachusetts increased in 2016, according to the Massachusetts Association of Realtors. If you're considering purchasing a single-family home or condo in Haverhill, here are seven real estate facts about the current market you'll want consider.

Haverhill, Massachusetts real estate market report 1. The median price of a single-family home in Haverhill increased 6.6 percent to $307,000 in 2016 from $288,000 in 2015.

2. The number of closed sales increased 8.5 percent from 457 homes sales closed in 2015 to 496 houses sold in 2016.

3. Pending sales also increased significantly year over year, up 9.5 percent in 2016 from 465 pending sales in 2015 to 509 in 2016.

4. Homebuyers paid on average 97.8 percent of the original list price for homes purchased in 2016, up from 96.1 percent of original list price paid in 2015.

5. The median condo price in Haverhill increased 6.4 percent in 2016 from $188,000 in 2015 to $199,950 in 2016.

6. Condominium buyers paid 97.8 percent of the original listing price for units in 2016. In 2015 homebuyers paid 96.4 percent of the original listing price.

7. The condominium market tightened in 2016, with new condominium listings down 7.5 percent to 418 units in 2016 from 452 new listings in 2015.
